The ISN is 50 years old (or young?)

BRI_smallFor 50 years, ISN has risen to the challenge of fighting kidney disease by bringing two worlds together. Taking on a humanitarian mission, it has set out to reduce the impact and frequency of kidney disease worldwide.

Many of its activities developed through its Global Outreach (GO) programs (formerly known as COMGAN) have provided education and training for kidney specialists in emerging countries, raised awareness about early screening and treatment, connected kidney care professionals globally, and supported research into better patient healthcare.

In emerging countries, local medical technology is often unable to meet patient and doctor requirements. ISN volunteers donate their time and expertise to work with local leaders, national and regional societies to identify and react to educational and clinical needs. Today, thanks to these programs,  more kidney specialists are developing better prevention, diagnosis and treatment methods in their home country.
